Pasaya Textile Factory: Beyond Architecture
One of the program on Creative Entrepreneurs Catalyst Bangkok 2009 by British Council is field trip to established creative industry in Thailand. One of the destination was to Pasaya factory in Ratchaburi, about 1,5 hours driving to Bangkok. PASAYA is the brand name of textile products created by world-award-winning Thai textile designers, with the state of the art in designing and manufacturing processes, thus making Pasaya’s products innovative, unique, and superior in quality and value. The meticulous ways of manufacturing and the concept of “quality of life is the beginning of quality products” can be seen in every aspect of the factory. After a tour of the premises we will have time for shopping for fabrics, napkins, tablecloths and custom-made curtains.
Not just the journey of the business and the quality of the products, their vision also reflect on how they design the space in the factory complex. For me, what I have seen here is beyond architecture. I have congratulate the owner for his mind to make this happened.
Quote from Pasaya:
“Where the land has no King, there will be no Queen.
When the world has no men, there will be no PASAYA.”
This is a song we sing in our design team……It is quite ambiguous, isn’t it?
PASAYA is a brand of textile products for living lifestyle and personal adornment.
The brand was invented with a belief in mind that the pleasure of living can be
enlivened by the “Passion for life”. Thus the core philosophy of PASAYA is to create
products for enhancing the passion of each individual.
As a textile designer and manufacturer by ourselves, we have a better chance of:
Designing by Passion.
Producing with Innovation.
And Aiming for Utilization.
We believe that quality is rather a concern than a process.
We believe that tradition is an experience but not the inspiration.
We believe that value of textiles is tangible, not just perceivable.
We believe that the merit of product is functionality while beauty is enchantment.
We pledge to create textiles by love and by passion.
The Passion for Life, the Passion for PASAYA
